Is there a way to set multiple window tabs to open when notes opens?
For example, I would like my inbox and calendar to open when I start
    Notes. Using Notes 6.5.1.

Have you played around with your welcome page? You should be able to
build a custome based welcome page that can open I think up to 4
windows on one page based on your configuration.

    sometimes reading manulas helps ;-)

Once you have bookmarked a database, document, or a web page, you can
set that bookmark to be the home page (the default display) that appears
every time you open Notes. You can redo this as often as you like. You
can also reset the Welcome Page to be your home page.
To set a bookmark as your home page
    1. Right-click any bookmark.
    2. Choose "Set Bookmark as Home Page."
    3. In the "Set Home Page" dialog box, click OK.
Note If the desired database does not have a bookmark, drag the open
database's window tab to the bookmark bar.
To undo setting a bookmark as your home page
You can reset the default Welcome Page to act as your Home Page. Open
your Favorite Bookmarks folder on the bookmark bar.
    1. Right-click the Welcome bookmark.
    2. Choose "Set Bookmark as Home Page."
    3. In the "Set Home Page" dialog box, click OK.
Tip If the Welcome Page bookmark is not in your Favorite Bookmarks
folder, choose File - Database - Open and click Browse. Then select
BOOKMARK.NSF in your Data directory and click Select. Click Open and
drag the Welcome window tab to your Favorite Bookmarks folder.

But I want the Inbox and Calendar tabs to open. This just replaces the
first tab only it seems unless I am doing something wrong. As for the
welcome page designs, these are just a pain, with the little windows.
    Thanks for responding.

You definitely need to use a framed welcome page it is fairly straight
forward, have a look on the help...

Look for the Startup folder inside the More Bookmarks icon on the
    bookmark bar (left hand side)

Create bookmarks for the databases you want, move them into this

They will open as seperate panes when Notes is opened.

  7. Is it possible to add bookmart to the Startup folder by LotusScript?
