Maximum forwarding loop count exceeded

  1. I have a group(Mail Only) in domino directory(ver6.02) . This group have 13
    users. Today when a tried to send something from Internet on this address
    and I've recieved this message:
    Maximum forwarding loop count exceeded. Message probably in a forwarding
    loop. Examine Forwarding Address of intended recipient in Domino Directory.
    Please help

    I wonder if somebody in that group has forwarded their email to an external
    address, which is forwarding back in.

    I've seen this several times in our location. In the person document, one
    of the recipients probably has their internet address in the forwarding
    address (they're listed together on the first page) which causes the message
    to go in circles then come back. Here it was caused by someone with admin
    access to the directory updating his PDA. For some reason it wanted to
    update the main directory too and caused that problem.
