I have read through a lot of the info regarding ver. 8, but still havent
found anything stating that "Spamguru" or alike antispam product will be
    installed in ver. 8.

Any news about if Spamguru (the Bayesian and Chung-Kwei based
    spamfiltering
functionality) is beeing implemented in Lotus Notes/Domino ver.8?

I have also read in their Q&A that the product will be available in 2007 -
are there an officiel statement anywhere with a more specific date for the
    launch?

I use the DNS Blacklist Filters and this is excellent. OK once in a while,
it kills Hotmail but what the heck.
    1) Just enable DNS Blacklist Filters,
    2) Add to the DNS Blacklist sites the following:
    dnsbl.sorbs.net; bl.spamcop.net; cbl.abuseat.org
    3) then set your other options.

  4. I would use xbl.spamhaus.org and (possibly) apews.org as well.

  5. Mid-year 2007 is the official word they gave at Lotusphere last week. So I
would guess July. No specific date set, teh public beta should be coming out
this month or early March. So before July sounds overly optimistic.

Ok. Is it normal procedure to announce the specific releasedates in this
newsgroup or should I look regularaly somewhere else to get a specific
date? Some kind of roadmap-page on their website fx?

  9. have the user look in "All documents". There might be mail in the sent
folder or in other folders, they count against the quota as well...

  10. I don't think anyone from Lotus is making annoucements here. You should look
at the official sites. I would also make sure to follow some of the more
important blogs in the Lotus "blogsphere". Ed Brill, Mary Beth Raven, Chris
Reckling, Jeff Eisen, perhaps even Mike Rhodin's own blog.
Then you have a bunch of high profile bloggers that are in the Notes camp:
Grayhawk, Wild Bill Buchan, vowe (Volker Weber), Declan Lynch, Rocky Oliver
(well, he works for Lotus now, so he should be in the Lotus category,
    really), and several more.

Here are links to the blogs I read and recommend if you want to know what is
    going on:

There are many more, but these are the good ones. Use Netvibes to build you
a customized page with those feeds, and you have it all in one place. :)

  11. Not SpamGuru, but if you run your own SMTP receiver, No Spam Today!
works well. Uses spamassassin engine. Set up on port 25 then send to
smtp server on port xxxxxxx. Domino receives on port xxxxxxx.
